Covid-19: Beware of This Risks While Using Your Face-Mask


Face-Mask which is primarily a medical item for Hospitals' uses turned the primary preventive measure against the dreaded Coronavirus.

Due to scarcity and cost of the Medical Face-Mask, creativity saves humans as we have the fashion designers designed different kind of fabric-made face-masks for sale and that was how the required face-mask turned a fashion trend as fashion designers sew it in styles.


As beautiful and fitting this masks looks, the negative effects of its usage worth attention.

EFFECT ON HEALTH
Face-mask makes breathing difficult, a fraction of carbon dioxide previously exhaled is inhaled at each respiratory cycle which increases breathing frequency and deepness hence, they increase the amount of inhaled and exhaled air.
The exhaled air also goes into the eyes which generates uncomfortable feeling and impulse to touch your eyes and, if your hands are contaminated, you are infecting yourself.

SECURITY CHALLENGE
The enforced use of face-mask will also pave way for security flaws as a known person can simply attack while hiding facial recognition.

MORAL CHALLENGE
Hidden facial recognition under the face-mask is also challenging the exchange of pleasantries and identification during our day to day endeavours.

COMMUNICATION BARREIR
As the use of Sign Language of the Deaf is yet to be enforced, the use of face-mask is affecting free flow of communication as the Deaf focuses on the movement of lips to grasp spoken words.

To ease off the challenges and maintain our usual lifestyle with comfort, it's advisable to pull down the face-mask to the chin when with minor number of people while maintaining physical distancing to converse.

Face-mask with mouth openings should be considered for free flow of conversation with the Deaf, for facial recognition and comfort.

We should be very watchful of persons in masks to counter criminality attempt.

It's really unnecessary to use face-mask when alone or at home with the family.

By causing ourselves discomfort with fashionable face-masks while calling it fashion trend is indeed abominable risk to well being.

Stay safe responsibly, wisely and considerably.
