F.F.F ADVOCACY BASE ON THE MOVE


F.F.F Advocacy Base is non-profit directed and controlled by a Deaf individual; it’s a platform advocating for inclusion of people living with disabilities, specifically, the Deaf. We collaborate with institutions and private individuals to make every aspect of the society accessible to people living with disabilities. Our expertise is at the intersection of disability and design, and so we work with community mentors and stakeholders to ensure that physical, curricular and web environments are designed to be barrier-free to the extent possible.


 

We believe that disability is an aspect of diversity that is integral to our society. We believe that creating and maintaining usable, equitable, inclusive and sustainable environment is a shared responsibility. We believe that designing our environment with usability in mind benefits every able and disabled person. And we believe that the ultimate indicator of our success is when people living with disabilities can access every aspect of the environment as seamlessly as do non-disabled persons.



As we keep advocating and collaborating towards promoting inclusivity, so we are recording achievements; we are gradually achieving our set goals for the year 2018 which is to make organizers of events embrace inclusion, our advocacy and collaborations in the past months of the year were greatly successful;


Global Growth Foundation, the initiator of the monthly Cleaner Ogun Campaign in Abeokuta of Ogun State, Nigeria identified with the Deaf for their monthly public cleanliness programme where they admonish cleanliness at public places. The Deaf participation is to join hands with the able counterparts towards development.




We Collaborated with RedWood Polycare, the manager of Health Access Partnership for People with Disabilities towards access to quick, convenient, affordable and quality healthcare services by people with disabilities which is currently running in almost all the SouthWest States.



Our relationship with Friends of the Deaf Foundation privileged representatives of the Deaf cluster to participate at The Conference of Western Attorneys General Africa Alliance Partnership (CWAG-AAP)) conference themed Succeeding in the Fight Against Human Trafficking where we highlighted the need to specifically organize awareness program on Human Trafficking for People living with Disabilities. 



Our collaborative efforts also enabled access to members of the disability community at the Techpreneur Hangout organized by OnlineHubNG to groom the youths on technology based entrepreneurship.




F.F.F as a web developer and Advocate for inclusion had access to Google physical market place.

F.F.F Advocacy Base vision is that; services, programs, technology, and web presence can all be accessed seamlessly by everyone, without F.FF Advocacy Base intervention.


 Involvement of people living with disabilities at events will further equip them towards contributing their quotas to societal development and self-sustainability; it will also serve as avenue to air development oriented views.


 Building an inclusive environment will promote peaceful, friendly and development oriented co-existence.

 I was staring at a Pastor, staring at a chorister while they were ministering and they were like, why's he staring at me. I was too focused on a very beautiful lady while conversing and she thought this guy want to brew up something. I gave a guy's lips full concentration while he was delivering a speech, he was like, is this guy jealous of me.
