HAPPY TO BE A PROJECT ENABLE AFRICA 2018 FELLOW

HAPPY TO BE A PROJECT ENABLE AFRICA 2018 FELLOW

With a thankful heart, I appreciate the Project Enable Africa Team for the opportunity granted me to be among the 2018 fellows to acquire ICT education.

This initiative is a sign that, we have stakeholders who are well-wishers of people living with disabilities and ready to equip us with basic knowledge towards self-sustainability. It’s a sign that our clamour for social inclusion is gradually coming into reality.

Inclusion isn’t about giving out fishes to the people with disabilities but teaching and making available to us the necessaries to fish.

I have the passion to acquire esoteric knowledge to groom myself and my colleagues in the Deaf community towards self-reliance and sustainability and so are my colleagues in the disability community.

The role and importance of the various categories of the ICT industry in modern times cannot be overemphasized. In this ICT driven era, a sizable market will always exist for ICT line of business, for profit-making motives as well as rendering human value-adding services. The opportunities abound even more in developing countries like ours where there’s still huge deficit in ICT proficiency among the populace.

This opportunity granted by Project Enable Africa will go a long way towards addressing the plight of people living with disabilities. There’s strong optimism that this singular initiative will be a big advantage to quickly building a healthy clientele, which in turn translates to improved well-being of people living with disabilities.

Project Enable Africa is indeed welcomed effulgence in the disability community. Looking forward to January, 2018 when the fellowship is said to kick start. May the Mighty God grant divine help towards driving the fellowship to a success In Jesus Name. Amen.

Am using this opportunity to make a clarion call to the society to halt the discrimination and marginalization against people living with disabilities, your fishes we don’t need but the hooks and nets we need, equip us with knowledge and machinery, we also have the capabilities of fishing.

Congratulation to all of us, the Project Enable Africa 2018 Fellows.

Wishing the Project Enable Africa Team and my fellowship colleagues a Merry Christmas and a Prosperous New Year in advance.
