SIGN LANGUAGE INTERPRETERS AREN’T FIREWOOD, APPRECIATE THEM RESPONSIBLY

Sing language interpretation service requires sedulous efforts, it takes passion to render the service; it’s just as when a welder is cutting iron with a saw for long hours.

Swinging the hands and creating body gestures for long hours to bridge communication gap for the Deaf undeniably demands aplomb which must be well appreciated by the Deaf.

The Deaf should have a deep thinking, we need these set of people, their service to us is very strenuous, and they took out time abandoning their private endeavous to make sure we don’t lag behind by bridging communication gap between us and the hearing community.

Let’s appreciate them responsibly as deemed fit, by greasing their pockets, at all, our “Thank You” after every of their services to us will encourage them to remain in our vicinity. As a saying goes does, if we appreciate the good deeds of yesterday, we shall surely receive another.
Let’s not be stingy towards our benefactors, let’s begin to nudge them with thankful hearts. This will go a long way to discourage them from the exploitation.

Among all our Naija Sign Language Interpreters, I singled out one who is to be highly appreciated in all ramifications for her selfless and tireless free services to the Deaf community, a better by far than many of the self-acclaimed professionals.
Imagine, at 71, she still can stand for hours interpreting. OMG.

Pastor Esther Olulaja began her mission with the Deaf in the year 2006 when she sighted two Deaf brothers at the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) camp, her passion was ignited when she saw the brothers without anyone interpreting for them, she approached them and began to learn the signs from them, those days, she based in UK on missionary, where all her children resides, because of the ignited passion for the Deaf, she relocated back to Nigeria, bought an apartment at the RCCG camp ground, just because of US, imagine. Today, we have Deaf Ministry in RCCG by God’s grace through Pastor Esther Olulaja, she has been coordinating the Ministry with uncommon passion, and her connection in RCCG brought comfort to US at every RCCG camp programs.

Whenever invited to any Deaf program/parties, she renders the interpretation service selflessly and tirelessly free of charge, also, her generosity is always intact.

This is a bluestocking our lurking interpreters should emulate to draw God’s blessings upon their lives.

Just Imagine, at 71, her alacrity to serve the Deaf community is still intact.

My Deaf colleagues, lets pour out our thankful heart towards this great assiduous bluestocking.

Pastor Esther Olulaja, my specific prayer for you is, you won’t miss heaven In Jesus Name. Amen.
Mama is a great dancer o. Lol
You will always have many reasons to dance In Jesus Name. Amen.

Lots Of Love…
